The camera is an AI-enabled 2.3-megapixel sensor with a 172-degree wide-angle lens and a 16:16 aspect ratio. The wider aspect ratio ensures the image recognition camera captures a wider field of view. So that it can recognize a child and an adult without any of them staying out of its FoV. The camera also allows the homeowner to check the state of the entrance hall or to see who’s at the door.
Further, the Mi Automatic Door Lock Pro features a human body sensor that works with an AI humanoid detection algorithm. The algorithm ensures that it can identify the video of people outside the door. The videos can be stored in the cloud for free for 3 days.
In terms of basic functions, the door lock features a multi-dimensional semiconductor fingerprint recognition with a success rate of up to 98.94%. Due to the integrated camera, the door lock adopts a dual-battery power system. The door lock uses 8 dry-cell batteries and has a standard battery life of 12 months. On the other hand, the camera system is powered by a rechargeable 5000mAh lithium battery with a battery life of 3 to 5 months. This ensures, your home front is always monitored. Xiaomi has also promised a 3-year warranty and free door-to-door installation for the first time.
